This is a long shot, but I'm looking for a copy of the out-of-print book "Fishman, George. The African American Struggle for Freedom and Equality: The Development of a People’s Identity, 1624-1850. Garland Publishing 1997" ISBN 9780815327868. The only copy I've been able to locate is at the Stanford Library in New York. I'm (a) not a Stanford student and (b) in Arizona. Is there anyone out there who has access to the Library and would be able to check this book out and look up a few pieces of information for me? It supposedly has an account of the events leading up to my ancestor Lewis Morris' death and hopefully some pointers to original sources. Link to Catalog listing
WorldCat shows it in 175 libraries. It might be in one near you. Here's the link to the WorldCat record: https://www.worldcat.org/title/36178609
If you don't find it in a library near you, the Genealogy Center at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne has a copy. They have a lookup service; you could contact them.
