There is a rough father-son trail of a few generations as supplied by a living family member, but I have no sources other than the family member.

There is a Sven Olof Östh in the Swedish inexed birth records born 22 Nov 1923 in Sankt Lars Östergötland to Erik Fredrik Harry Östh born 10Nov 1892 and mother Margareta Elvira Nilsson born 16 March 1900. Most likely you have the correct parent(s).

The father is listed as ''seminarieelev'', meaning he was studying to become a schoolteacher, and in the following records he is listed as being one. They lived in Augustberg nr 28 until 1926 (https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/90000187_00202), at which time they moved to Sven Olof's grandfather in Lönneberga parish (https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/80005898_00165, https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/80005900_00190). Between 1930 and 1933 they lived in Sjödal (https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/80005900_00068), and from then in the Silverdalen school house in Råsa (https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/80005901_00066), both still in Lönneberga parish. In 1942 Sven Olof moved to Linköping for military service in the 3rd company of the I4 infantry regiment (https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/90000480_00022, https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/90000493_00018); he is listed as staying there until 1947.
