Some people have contacted me (via Email) who are close family (2nd Cousins) some are connected from Great Great Great Grandparents so I am happy to have contact (I am on a Genealogy Site) think only one or two have asked to be profile manager to my private profile (possible erroneously) obviously denied. I have also had requests by others to be profile manager of a shared ancestor which I have granted.

So maybe contact them via email or ask to be shared PM of your shared ancestor (if applicable).

If they are willing, they can add you to their trusted list, but since they are a WikiTree user, they would have every right to not want to add you just because you might be a near cousin. Typically, most people choose not to do this, but where you are personally connected to them (live nearby, call them on the phone often, know them "personally") then there might be exceptions. Under those circumstances, they might even make you PM and you could co-manage that profile together.

Go to the profile for the deceased relative you are interested in, and create a Trusted List request for the profile of that person. In your request, say that you would also like to become a manager on the profile.
