Lately when I access my profile page, the Honor Code Signatory is lit golden and it says "see our Wiki Genealogy Honor Code".   If you think I've done something wrong, notify me. I've tried so hard these past years and been friendly to everyone and followed the code.  I am so hurt I don't want to write any more.

Greetings, Pat!

Mine lights up gold also when my mouse cursor touches it.  I don't think this is anything directed specifically at you.

I'm so sorry it hurt you.

Sincerely

Shirlea
Thank you so much, Shirlea.  If it's everyone remember the code that's fine.  I thought they were upset with me for something and never told me what I did wrong.  What you think determines how you feel.  Thanks to you I feel much better.

Everybody's does that.  It's a highlight to show it's a link.  Try hovering over the 'thanks yous' and 'contributions' next to it.  They have a yellow highlight, too.

So true, Ros.  I have a dual tablet/computer.  I was on touchscreen and 3 times in a row it lit yellow when I opened my profile so I became alarmed. But I tested it.  Plugged in my mouse and kept the cursor away from the honor code and it didn't light up when I opened my profile.  I am a happy camper once again.  Thank you.

Hi Pat!  I see that we might be 13th cousins 2x removed - if some the uncertain connections in the Loyalist history actually happened...

Nice to meet you cousin!

Nice to meet you too, Shirlea.  Concerning the Loyalist connections and if Alanson Lewis UEL was really the son of James Lewis, did you see this?   https://archives.gnb.ca/search/newspapervitalstats/Details.aspx?culture=en-CA&guid=687cd061-1db8-4544-a2b0-58a635d5710a&r=1&ni=167557

yes, i'm pretty comfortable accepting everything up to James,,,I'm not so sure about his antecedents, though!

It would be great if this line could do some Y-DNA research!

I see there is a note on Alanson Lewis's profile:

If our paper trail is correct, a Lewis fifth great-grandson of Alanson is FTDNA kit# 466139. All descendants of Alanson are believed to descend from Y Haplogroup I-L1272. See Lewis Name Study - Y Haplogroup I-L1272.

it would be nice if we could get a profile all linked up for that Lewis descendant!

According to the Lewis name study,

he is

I see the link I listed mentioning Alanson Lewis in the obituary of his grandson Hon. John Allen Lewis http://wikitree.com/wiki/Lewis-34116 was reprinted in the profile and he is a notable but no mention of the Lewis name study.

The Lewis name study and some DNA info is mentioned briefly on Alanson's profile, along with a link to the Lewis name study.  Turns out the Lewis name study has a page at WikiTree, and some serious Y-DNA work is referenced there.  That's what i was quoting in my recent comments, basically taking back what i said about 'wouldn't it be great if this line could do some Y DNA research' cuz they are doing it!  I wasn't implying that the wonderful newspaper article about the Hon. John Lewis had that info...
