How do I correct a duplicate person created from selecting existing person for tree

I was adding a father to William Parks b. abt. 1776, found an existing profile for John Parks b. 1756 that matched my records and connected. Looking at John Parks profile afterwards, saw that son William had been duplicated (one linked to my tree and other to tree of existing John that I had selected.  Now what?

The two profiles need to be merged,  go to Parks-3516 at the bottom select initiate a merge and add Parks-3512.
