Shouldn't Benjamin Stone's date of birth be moved back a bit?

Benjamin appeared as signer for a power of attorney with John Burgess on September 2, 1760. We know our Benjamin is one in the same with the man who signed the document through a couple of key clues. First of all, John was listed as from "Orange County, NC", where our Benjamin spent the vast majority of his adult life. Secondly, Benjamin's firstborn son was named Burgess, indicating a close relation to John Burgess, though the exact relationship is unknown. I still personally hold the parents linked to Benjamin should be detached, there is very little evidence that the son of Joshua & Wilmoth named Benjamin is our Benjamin. More damning, I recently discovered one of the groups in the Stone DNA project already claim descent from the Stone family of Richmond County, Virginia, and their haplogroup is I-M170.

Either way, Benjamin, from this document, was likely born before September 2, 1739, because age of full adulthood was 21 in the 18th century. Additionally, average marriage age for men at the time was 26, and Benjamin married probably around 1762 or early 1763. Though circumstantial, the second statement should at least be considered in deducing his age of majority. If someone views this evidence and agrees, I'd appreciate if anyone with proper authority could at least change the date of birth from September 26, 1742, to before September 2, 1739. Thank you.

Hi guys

I’ll stick my nose in, but it would appear much work has gone into this man’s research. In my research if an ancestor has parents uncertain you can check that in edit based upon managers approvals.

Or add {{UnverifiedParents}}

Also add under a ==Research Notes== any new findings if there is much more maybe a PPP is appropriate?
