Just within the past few days, I've unearthed my ancestral connection to Malvern, Hot Springs, Arkansas. I've never been to Arkansas myself. My Grandfather, Robert Clardy, was born there and moved to California. We never knew that branch of our family, and so finding them again through DNA has been a revelation. I'm looking forward to learning more as my research progresses and possibly visiting there in the next few years.
Great, I like to hear of Arkansas connections. We have many ancestors migrating in and out of the state. My parents went to California for a time before I was born, but returned to the state. I had an aunt who lived the move of her life there. California was the place to go, it seems for people looking for a new life.
