Look to the sky, a new astronaut has taken flight! David Draper, 1,000,000 G2G points, wow!

The space station needs to add another capsule, its getting crowded up there!

David Draper is our new Wikitree Astronaut reaching one million+ G2G points!  This is such a huge accomplishment: 1,000,000+ G2G points! Wow!

Thank you David for all of your contributions to the G2G forum. You and members like you help keep WikiTree a friendly and respectable genealogy site. Our good reputation is built by David and others like him.

In addition to more than one million G2G points, David is also a member of the Notables Project, Tree Hugger, Family Star, Community Star and Generous Genealogist.

David also participated in a Thon in 2023.

David Draper joined WikiTree in Jul 2021 and in that time he has made 55,129 contributions and got 771 Thank Yous!

On behalf of the G2G Integrators Project and all WikiTreers, we would like to congratulate David Draper and give him a great big pat on the back!

I recorded the exact day and time when my airplane ran out of fuel and I had to put on a space suit!  I was chatting with all the "Wikipeeps" on Weekend Chat last Saturday, and at 1pm Central Time, USA, I "throttled up", everything turned dark and the stars came out!  

I was going to give my plane to the next new pilot, but it got shot up a little on the journey, (down votes) so it can now be set in the field with the other 34 discarded planes!

Keep an eye out, as there are two more pilots ready to give up their planes!

David Draper WOW !!! How impressive being the 34th Astronaut. May I just say that I joined WT in 2017; a full four years before David...in the two years since joinging WT, David has not only overtaken my ponderous genealogy speed but he has vanished from view and was last seen heading towards Alpha Centauri or the outer reaches of the Milky Way. God speed David.

Yeah, Roy, I slipped past you in the middle of the night one day a couple of weeks ago when my wife was in the hospital for 6 days and I played in WikiTree all that time in the hospital!

Thanks Cousins and everybody for the kind words!  I got pressed for time and couldn't answer each and every one.

My wife was in the hospital for 6 days and I stayed with her, took my laptop to the hospital and played on WikiTree 24-7 for 6 days!   That is how I shot up into outer space!

BAHAHAHAHHA! Cousin Rick!  Here is how you climb to the stars in a short period of time.  Your wife has to get really sick and go into the hospital for 6 days!  You take your lap top to the hospital and for 24/7  days you give out a whole lot of WikiTree love! Oh, it didn't take two years, far less! I wasn't very active on the G2G until I stared doing the song parodies in Weekend Chat and using Chat GPT to write appreciation poems for WW Awards. Then I answered just about every NEW MEMBER posts with long winded comments. That generated 149 BEST ANSWERs. That all started about 9 months ago! After one of the Thons last spring, there were hundreds of WW Awards given out. Adding congratulations comments to 800 member awards pushed me past 500,000!  Then babysitting my wife in the hospital shot me to 900,00 (just saying)  And after this upcoming Source-A-Thon there will be 800 more WW Awards to comment on!  GET READY TO FLY!
