What are you doing Friday? Join us for "date" night!

Time: 4 pm Eastern US (2000 GMT)

No need to swipe right or left! We're looking for lonely profiles without dates, and we need your help!

We meet on Zoom every other week to get caught upon each other's progress, answer questions, and to have a little social time. Then we head off to date those profiles and share our victories on Discord (look for the #friday-date-night channel).

This "challenge" is just for fun, so we're not keeping score, but we do keep track of our progress. Just join in to share some social time with your fellow WikiTreers and know that you're helping to make WikiTree better!

What Julie has failed to mention is that since this project started a few years ago, we have dated just over 80,000 profiles. We've dated about 20,000 in 2023. I'd love to see us beat the 2019 stats of 42k by the end of the year, although I realize that would be quite the stretch goal, but hey! Something to reach for!

I will also add that I have really been enjoying this. I've come to realize that it's like doing crossword (or logic) puzzles. But involving some research. I usually wake up at 4am most mornings, and find "dating" to be a great way to wile away the hours waiting for morning to break.  

And it's so satisfying to date and source and even connect an entire family to the larger tree.

I would like to join in. I hope to be set up by then, but my new computer just shipped today & I have until Saturday for it's delivery. If I can't get to it this week, can I still join in 2 weeks? That's  your schedule, right?

Will there be sharing of what works to date these profiles? Until this last DD Suggestion Report I only had 3 problems & 2 were undated people, but they just sit there because my strategy is exhausted & I'm out of ideas.

The next Zoom call will be 2 weeks from tomorrow, and we're always on Discord on the Friday Date Night channel, too. That's a great place to get quick answers to questions.
