100 Circles : updated figures and trends

Figures for reference profiles in the 100 Circles page have been updated, with interesting trends as usual.

For all 12 monitored profiles, the mean distance keeps getting smaller. This trend has been observed since over two years now, so nothing new here.

Nevertheless, an important milestone have been passed by our reference Queen. With over 15M profiles, her CC20 just passed the threshold of 50% of connected profiles. Back in May 2021 when we started to gather the data, her CC20 was less than 10M, 42.5% of the total connected.

Put it simpler : more than half of connected profiles are within 20 degrees of QEII.

Another trend seems to contradict this slow but steady contraction of central circles : we have more and more branches in the Outer Rim, even further out than our familiar "exotic" outliers. Those new Ladies and Lords of the Rim are the consequences of connections of new branches through tortuous paths. They are post-1800 European and American profiles, at distance up to 97 from QEII.

Thank you for this work Bernard. I am fascinated by this project.  Since the last update, I have completed CC1 for Emma Davis (1862-1949) [Davis-26671] and I note she now has the largest CC1 of any of the focus profiles (CC1=28). Incredibly, I think some of Emma's grandchildren may still be living so I will not be able to complete her CC2 for some time although her wider circles will continue to grow as more people are connected to the tree by myself and others. Conversely, as her central circles contract, her e value has been increasing which is to be expected I guess.

The eccentricity(e) is the distance to the furthest Outer Rim profile(s), which is very volatile. For Emma, the value 97 is the distance to Wilhelm Beenk. This is a profile recently connected, and likely to be reconnected closer any time.

The eccentricity of all profiles has augmented with this new Lord of the Rim (of whom eccentricity is 171!). Those are very transient figures, and variations are not very significant. I keep them in the table to justify the title "100 Circles", because for most profiles most of the time, e stays below 100.

Interesting and makes sense that the e values are transient. Thank you for clarifying. :)

On 26 August 2023, Wilhelm Beenk was reconnected through work by Morgana Patrocinio Costa. His distance to QEII is now at 78, i.e. below longtime First Lord of the Rim Khurshid Hamdani at 87.
