I don't think it's boring! His mother's father (Thomas Darcy King) was a butcher's son who became a baker, who mysteriously died before 1917 (my headcanon says he was drafted for the war and sent to the meat grinder). His widow (Parky's gran) married a Yorkshireman (Fred Binns) who happened to be in Oxfordshire (my headcanon says a buddy from her husband's unit in the war, but that's total speculation), who took her and her two children back "home" to Yorkshire, where they had a daughter of their own (and possibly a son). And that's just one generation, on one side!
