WikiTree Browser Extension: Automatic GEDCOM Cleanup misses some Geni profile links and unsourced template

Happy Saturday. Excited and thankful AGC user here.

I've noticed that AGC 1.8.8 catches a lot of Geni profile links in GEDCOM junk and converts them to a source. Loving that! I really try to focus on not losing any potentially meaningful information, or at least giving me a chance to perform human review, and AGC does a great job at this.

I've noticed two minor things that would be super helpful if it's possible that they could be added:

• Sometimes AGC misses the Geni profile ID# and puts it into Research Notes instead of building it as a source. An example of a Geni ID that's missed in 1.8.8 on Flowers-714. I've left it untouched for testing.

• When AGC does catch a Geni profile link and successfully converts it to a source, if it's the only source, it will skip adding {{Unsourced}} to that profile. If AGC could still add the template in this specific case, it would save some typing.

Hi

I don't know if there's a tag for AGC, but as it's now part of WBE, a WBE tag, or better yet a post on the WBE freespace page will get it to the right people.
Hey Gary,

Really appreciate this.

Was in the GitHub repository for WBE and it recommended posting here with these tags vice submitting an issue there.

Are they more active over there?

Jeff
I generally have trouble finding the right tag, I think you might have got the section for developers/programmers.
After replying to you, I copied your question's URL to the AGC channel on Rob Pavey's location on Discord, there's probably better methods of doing that too, but at least he'll know about your post.
I appreciate it Gary! The end of the WBE thread seemed to suggest posting to Discord but the linked article seemed to say G2G was the official forum. Must say I'm a little confused as to where the right place to post is.

Jeff
Jeff: The WBE options page lists who wrote each of the features. I'd recommend contacting the author, which in this case is Rob, via Discord.
Jeff, you are not alone in being confused about communication  venues. G2G used to be the only official forum for WT discussions,  but Google Groups and a variety of Discord channels have been added to the mix, so it is hard to know where it's best to ask a question. Also, the balkanization of communications makes it harder for the people who manage apps, projects, etc., to keep up with the people who try to contact us.

I think Gary was suggesting that the wikitree_browser_extension tag that I just added to your question is an appropriate G2G tag for your topic.
Ellen,

A big thanks for that. Didn't know the tag existed.

Jeff
Just to add to the tag thing... In our apps Discord channel, we have a feed that notifies us about any G2G posts that have any tags that seem relevant to the apps people. I don't know the list of tags, to be honest, but we seem to get all the relevant (tagged) posts.

Either, and the WBE extension page is also an option.
