How to remove a person from bulk trusted lists

Question

I'm trying to remove a person from bulk trusted lists. I kept getting directed to the "add an unrelated person" screen. Is this a bug in WT or am I doing something wrong

Could you give a little more detail? For example, are you starting at this link?

Are you sure the email address you are entering is the one the member uses on their WikiTree account?

I just tried an imaginary email address, and got redirected to "Add an Unrelated Person". So I think the problem is that you are using an email address which is not one registered as the login of any WikiTree member.

Yes. That is my starting point. You may be right about the email address. I didn't add this person as a trusted member, but think maybe its an automatic add once they become a member of a one name study maybe (??).

I hadn't heard about ONS participants automatically joining Trusted Lists, Pat. Maybe there's some other explanation. Anyhow, checking that you're typing exactly the right email address seems the way to go.

Was a merge done with the profile?  That would add someone to the Trusted List or as PM, depending on how the person was on the merged profiles.  

It is not advisable to remove people from Trusted List.  Have you had contact with this person to ask why they were added to Trusted Lists?

Linda, Have no idea how the person was added to the trusted list. None of the profile managers added the person. Only thing we can think is when the person was added as member of the ONS they automatically somehow ended up being made trusted member of ALL profiles in the ONS. Not something we were aware would happen, and somewhat puzzling.

Email address was correct it turns out. I got it to work, but only by selecting the person from the list of trusted persons. If I paste the email address in it does not work for me. I doubt the person added would know how they got added either, but no, I did not contact them (prefer NOT to, and as not a family member do not want them as trusted member of my family profiles, especially close family).
