What is the source for identifying the Robert of PA as the same person as Robert, son of Alexander of Ballyleck?

Re: Robert Montgomery -7724

There seems to be conflicting info in the descendent portion and the biography

Basic data in Wikitree gives Robert's children as Alexander, Robert, and William

Bio says he had 5 sons and 2 daughters, then 7 sons are listed, Alexander not being one of them, and no daughters.

Also, Robert of PA's parents in basic data are Alexander and Elizabeth Cole* who after their marriage(in about 1699) lived at Ballyleck, Co Monaghan. Why would their son Robert be born in Co Armagh?

In the 1729 will of Alexander of Dublin, (nephew of Alexander of Ballyleck m. to Elizabeth Cole,) Alex of Dublin bequeaths the use of some of his properties to the

'4th son of my uncle Alexander, Robert, now deceased and his heirs'.

This [cousin] Robert was born in 1705, like the PA Robert, but if he was deceased by 1729 [per the will], he cannot be the Robert of PA, who died in PA in 1776.

*Elizabeth inherited Ballyleck on her marriage

Can you clarify any of this?  It gets rather confusing with so many similarly named Montgomerys!

I am descended from Alexander Sr, married to Sarah Lockwood.
