Heading Check

I'm learning to do 1776 Project stickers first, and I'd like a heading check. With considerable help from Betty Norman - I updated stickers (and adopted her category recommendations) for one of my ancestors (Brown-129282).  I then tried my hand at two other ancestors, Richard Cardwell (Cardwell-1021) and Peter Wakefield (Wakefield-1519).

For Cardwell, I was able to source his regiment, but for Wakefield, Colonel Runnel's New Hampshire Regiment was not listed clearly under Category: New Hampshire Militia, American Revolution (wikitree.com) so I backed up to simple labeling the unit in the sticker as: "New Hampshire Militia"

I could use a mentor's review on my changes to these two profiles before I venture to others or start giving bad advice.

DC, check the Suggestion for Peter Wakefield. I corrected the first one "Unused Span Anchors", but there are more.  Click the question mark in the first column for an explanation of the Suggestion.

I'm not seeing suggestions for Peter Wakefield...maybe because I don't manage that profile.  The only changes that I made to that profile were adding stickers...and maybe correcting a misspelling that I noticed.
You don't have to be the PM for a profile to view Suggestions.  Open the drop-down menu under the profile ID.
Ah!!! Thanks!  Before this moment, I had only viewed "suggestions" under "My WikiTree".

Yes, there are many, many, recommendations for that particular profile.

You are correct! I know, I try to keep it to closely related profiles. I had my list down to almost none and then we had Connect-A-Thon and my list blew up from people adding profiles that have some connection to me.

I guess that plays into Paul's admonition about devotion to "endless genealogies." (Ref: 1 Timothy 1:4)

I'm still focused on the profiles I manage, mostly - but I can see places where I can contribute to overall improvement to the collective.

Looks to me like you have categorized Peter Wakefield's service as close to his actual service as you can; i.e. New Hampshire Militia. I have posted a source on the profile showing his service as Capt. John Mills, Col. Reynolds (not Runnels, as he probably wrote in his pension application). However, there is no existing category for Col. Reynolds' Regiment of Militia. If we have a few soldiers with the same service, we could create a new category, but let's leave him for now in New Hampshire Militia. Do make a note in his biography of the corrected militia name.

No wonder you couldn't pin this one down. Way to go for giving it a good try!  AND congrats on Richard Cardwell. It's perfect. Good job!

Thanks for the heading check.  I wondered if it was Reynolds instead of Runnels.  That makes sense.

I'm running into similar challenges with Matthews-1861. I notice now that you added the 1776 sticker for him - but I was having doubts about the pedigree which I included in a comment on Matthews' page. Maybe we can find better sourcing for him.

I'll add a note in Wakefield's Bio.

Thanks.
