Does anyone know of evidence that Thompson-43731 is actually the father of Thompson-41534?

Question

James Pioneer Thompson [Thompson-43731] is commonly said to be the father of Moses Russell Thompson [Thompson-41534] but I have seen no evidence.   Has anyone seen such evidence.   Elvira Thompson Burns [Thompson-48067] seems well established as the daughter of James Pioneer Thompson, but I've not seen anything comparable for Moses Russell Thompson.
