How do I link Devotion Short-9973 as husband of Susan Jones 136736?

When I try to link a profile I created, it tells me I am not on the Trusted List

Hi Marlene. Just to confirm, both of the two profiles Short-9973 and Jones-136736 are managed by you and both have Open privacy. As a full WikiTree member, you should be able to link them as spouses using the normal procedures, either as mentioned by Derek or from the edit tab of one of the profiles.

Therefore the error message you are seeing sounds as if it may be the result of a recently reported bug: see the earlier G2G question at this link. It could be useful if you would please edit your question and add the tag  bugs  . A new example may help with diagnosis of the problem.

Since I was so discouraged yesterday, I waited until this morning and tried again...it worked this time.  Thank you for your time in helping.  I am going to try and add another wife of Devotion Durand Short today...Hope I can whiz right thru it after yesterday.  When you are fairly new at this you wonder what you've messed up now.

I'm glad it's worked now, Marlene. It could be another case of that bug, which may be intermittent or transient.

From Susan Jones profile where it says spouse “unknown” there should be an add spouse link if you are the manager, using that link just add the ID of the husband.

Thank you Derek.  I tried that and it didn't work.  I still got the message that I was not on the trusted list and it was a profile which I created.
