Could you help me learn more about my NPE Great-Grandfather?

Trigger warning: Young victim.
Hello fellow genealogists! I'm seeking information about my NPE great-grandfather, James Shryock; contacting my DNA matches to him and the organizations he was connected to (his Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the church he was married in) has been fruitless. I fully understand his family not wanting to talk to me, though-- my great-grandmother Elizabeth was 11 when she was impregnated, and my grandfather went his 92 years without knowing who his birth father was.
James was a friend of my 2GM, Margaret, and traveled with her and her two children to Cuba a year before my grandfather was born ('24) and Margaret invited him to a party in July of '25, with an already-pregnant Elizabeth. Elizabeth's paternal grandmother was Lida Hillerich (Bud's sister) and I have DNA matches to that family, so there is no question of the motherhood.
What I'm hoping to obtain is a photo of James for archival and facial comparison purposes and any evidence my grandfather and father's back issues and possibly my future ones were handed down from him, and really whatever else I can get would be helpful.
 Thanks in advance!

His son's photo is posted on a Find-A-Grave memorial in case it may help you:

I did some research based upon resources I have here and no luck. If you haven't already went down this line of inquiry, researching the fuel station he owned would be where I would focus. There were likely a number of records generated related to its operations.

Thank you for your response, Chris! John Henry was my grandfather.

I hadn't taken the service station research route, but I shall. It may even turn up a photo of him; I may have a source inside the Freemasons too.

Thanks again!

On the 1910 census in Lawrenceburg KY, he's living with his parents James D. Shryock and Sarah Jane (Cranfill) Shryock.

He married Mary Blanche Stephans in 1927.
