James Brown and his wife Margaret Denison had two daughters named Margaret. The first born 28 June 1682 and apparently died young. The second was born 5 July 1687 in Swansea and died  between 28 Jun 1717 and 06 Feb 1733/4. She married ___ Carpenter. She was named in her father's will of 28 Jun 1717, but was probably deceased when her mother named grandson William Carpenter in her will. (MF 23:1:17-18, 66)

I do not find any reliable confirmation of her husband's given name.

Someone who has access to the Mayflower silver books for Howland will be able to answer this for you as they cover the first 5 generations in the books. Bobbie Hall may be able to help.

Thank you, I think I may be a descendant from the Howland Tilley family...
Welcome to the family! I’m also a descendant of John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley.
Hello, Me too!
That's great.. Nice to meet family.  Just trying to make sure its correct.   I think I am also a descendant of Peter Browne and Constance Hopkins and Stephen Hopkins.
Me too, welcome!

I have not found any marriage record for Margaret Brown daughter of James Brown and Margaret Denison and Mayflower Pilgrim Genealogies lists no spouse except [Mr. Margaret Brown] Carpenter and a possible son of William so Margaret is descedent of John Howland husband and child need to be researched better.

He appears in the GSMD applications https://trees.americanancestors.org/#!/tree/97470/people/0S7-JRMC-X4BF

his mother has a Swansea birth record {{FamilySearch Record|FZDD-MVP}} and appears in Mayflower Birth & Death  Apparently she died during son's infancy.

I didn't find him in MF5G on line

I don't own "Lainhart, Ann Smith. Mayflower Families through Five Generations, Volume 23, Part 1, Family of John Howland, General Society of Mayflower Descendents, Plymouth, MA., 2004," but I searched AmericanAncestors.org, "Mayflower Families Fifth Generation Descendants, 1700-1880," for William Carpenter and he does not appear in the Howland Part 1.
I think the source on the William Carpenter page should be removed, right?
