Having a bit of problem putting DNA test onto father-in-law profile

I did several DNA tests onto profiles back in about 2017.  I did mine, my wifes, my parents, my father- in -law ... I do not recall having any problems back then entering the tests into Wikitree.

This last month my father-in-law passed away, and I wish to put his DNA test onto his now open profile.  No matter what I have tried, in my attempts to do so, it just comes bouncing over to my own profile and wants to put his test onto mine profile.

It has to be something so simple ... but I am not seeing it!  What am I missing?  What has changed?  Any help would be great.  I have been going through the help, and just not finding an answer.

Hi Virgil

Is this the page you need to be on perhaps?

https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&u=12582273

You can get there this way:

- Go to his profile

- In his profile ID drop-down menu at the top of the page, select 'DNA'

- Click the header rectangle labeled 'DNA Tests'

Oh Matthew, this is just what I needed!  This is what I was not figuring out, nor finding in all the pages and pages of help and Q&A.  Your link put me right onto it, and just to make sure I have it, I followed your "You can get there this way:" ... both ways got me right where I needed to be. THANK YOU.  I think the DNA folks need to just put that at the top of the help and Q&A screens.  (And of course I bet it is, but just not on any of them I have stumbled across so far.) Working on my father-in-law first and then will do my parents.  Back when I had them all do DNA, they were all living.

Just  a thought - is the death date and place on your Father-in-law's profile? Are you the profile manager? If those items are in place, then you might need to contact info at wikitree dot com (insert the proper symbols).

Thanks for the reply back Virginia,

Yes to death date and place fields completed. And I am the PM.  I will work on it thru the rest of the weekend and if I do not stumble accross it ... it will be contacting Wikitree.
Although you have completed the death date and location fields - doublecheck to see that the radio button 'still living' is not still checked.
Thank you Ros, that was about one of the only things I was able to get right at this start of this. LOL

Due to privacy concerns, you can only enter DNA tests into your own profile.

Judi, that restriction is only applicable to living persons.  You can enter DNA test information for a deceased person, but only if you are the profile manager.
Thank you Judi.  And thank you to Gaile's reply.

Back years ago, I had my parents both take the DNA tests that were out at the time.  A Kester family genealogy association (CAOA) assisted me in that back then.  Years later, with DNA tests now much better (and more simple to do), I had my wife, mother, and father-in-law all do the new AncestryDNA.  My wife and I are still here, but have since lost my mother, and now my father-in-law.  I went to update the DNA here on Wikitree for my Dad, Mother, and father-in-law ... it has either gotten harder to figure out, or I have lost some brain cells over the years, and had not been able to get things working.  Matthew (above posting) gave just what I needed to fix my issue (stumbling block).
