Can anyone untangle the mystery of the two Joseph Calvin Dobsons?

The birth dates for both Joseph's is listed as November 5, 1822, both list John Dobson as the father, both list Capt. Ephriam Jefferson Dobson as a brother, and both list a sister Nancy (though one Nancy is born in 1780 and the other is born in 1825 – clearly two different people).  One profile connects to Rebecca (Gray) Dobson
(1797-1881) as the mother, and the other connects to Mary (Mackey) Dobson (1756-1845) as the mother.  I doubt that Mary gave birth to Joseph Calvin at the age of 66! 

However, I don’t think we should merge the two Joseph Calvin Dobsons too quickly.  Looking at Joseph’s siblings, it appears that two families have been incorrectly combined.  Were there really two Joseph Dobsons, one the son of Rebecca Gray and John Dobson, and the other the son of Mary Mackey and Capt. Joseph Dobson?  Which children belong to each set of parents?

It does appear that she created both of them without sources or documentation.  Since she has not been active for two years I would suggest comparing the data of these profiles on other sites to determine which facts are real.  With a little research you may be able to merge them and elimiate the two or three points of incorrect data.  When doing this I compare with about si other sights and usually come up with some sources while doing it.  If you would like to know which sites I use feel free to message me.  Good luck and thanks for asking the question.

I'll confess that I had something similar in my family because of some miss-clicks when adding.  It took quite a bit of time to get it fixed up.  I'm trying to figure out a better way for people to enter the data so things like this don't happen.
