Wrong first names on this profile?

Question

I looked for Anders Peter Flink Born 12 Nov 1809 in Ledberg, Östergötland, Sverige.

What I found was Nils Gustaf, son of Anders Peter Nilsson born 12 Nov 1809. I'm not quite sure where to go from here.

The birth date and/or the birth place is probably wrong then. (Looking at the editing history for the profile it was earlier connected to parents that were not right, so when the profile was created it was with a mix-up of two people or otherwise with big errors in it.)

I think you'll have to get further with the profile of his son before getting to this profile.

Unfortunately the son turned out not to be his son; he is now disconnected (and has received a new birth date, birth place and LNAB). Quite a mess... :(

Wow. You did a lot of work on this. I don't think I could ever figure it out. I will work on the Anders Peter Flink profile starting by correcting his name. At least one part of the information in the profile was correct.

Nils Gustaf has a brother Anders Petter, born 1807-03-30 in Kaga (Kaga kyrkoarkiv, Födelse- och dopböcker, SE/VALA/00173/C I/2 (1801-1860), bildid: C0016281_00051, sida 86); maybe they were mixed up? Unfortunately, the family moves back to Kaga in 1812 (Kaga kyrkoarkiv, Husförhörslängder, SE/VALA/00173/A I/1 (1808-1815), bildid: C0016269_00113, sida 93) and the HHE record between 1815 and 1822 has been lost. Nils Gustaf is in the next record (Kaga kyrkoarkiv, Husförhörslängder, SE/VALA/00173/A I/2 (1822-1830), bildid: C0016270_00110, sida 101), but I have found no further trace of Anders Petter.

The wife, Annika Nilsdotter, was born not 1789 but 1788-02-01 and was named Anna Johanna in the birth record (Torpa (Östergötlands län) kyrkoarkiv, Födelse- och dopböcker, SE/VALA/00382/C/2 (1692-1792), bildid: C0018671_00393, sida 752) but usually just Anna in the HHEs (the name Annika however is used in one HHE record). She is still in Torpa in 1822-23 (Torpa (Östergötlands län) kyrkoarkiv, Husförhörslängder, SE/VALA/00382/A I/5 (1816-1824), bildid: C0018650_00088, sida 38) but unfortunately I don't have the time to dig deeper right now.

Interestingly, there is an Anders Peter Flink born in Ledberg, except on 1866-06-02 (Ledbergs kyrkoarkiv, Födelse- och dopböcker, SE/VALA/00214/C I/6 (1861-1881), bildid: A0008940_00020 #6). Nothing else seems to fit what is (or has been) in the profile, though - parents' names, spouse's name...  :D

There's also one born in 1709, albeit on 20 June and in Torsö parish, Skaraborg county (Torsö kyrkoarkiv, Födelse- och dopböcker, SE/GLA/13567/C/3 (1762-1828), bildid: C0052940_00102, sida 187 Third entry on the right-hand page); same thing there. Hardly surprising, neither has Flink as LNAB.

I haven't found anything more about Nils Gustaf, either; the HHE records for Kaga has another gap 1830-1855, and he may well have died before then (and ArkivDigital's death record index covers very little after 1800 in Östergötland, so far).
