Is there any way to save the results of a GEDCompare report?

Hello, dear genealogists, I'm Barbara, a new WikiTree member and novice family genealogist.

I've researched, without success, how to save the results of a GEDCompare report, since I would like to save my work as a file. My report, which I worked on in March-May, contains 777 names. Given the time to takes to research and, in some cases, to identify matches, I'd like to preserve the results of the work in one place. Is there any easy way to do that? Thanks, in advance, for your advice and suggestions.

Hi Barbara. Welcome to G2G!

There may be a better answer, but could you view the report and use the capabilities of your web browser to save the page to a PDF file?

By the way, you've probably noticed this, but it can be a dangerous trap, so I'll mention it. A GEDCOMpare file is "automatically deleted 60 days after you last used it to compare, create, or edit profiles." Don't leave your file untouched for too long! See this Help page section:

Thank you, Jim!

The 3rd and last step when uploading a gedcom is to go through the list of people one last time to make sure all the relationships have been made.

I highlight all the rows in the table then do a copy. I then paste this into a spreadsheet. I can then sort the last column which gives me a list by WikiID.

You can then save the file. The advantage of this is that you can click on the WTID in the cell and it will open that profile in your browser.

Hope this helps.
