Can we get a communications feed

WikiTree is about collaboration. To make it work effectively, it would be helpful to have a separate feed to track communications on profiles. This includes not only communications on profiles we manage but also posts on profiles we do not manage, those connected to profiles we manage, those managed by projects, and posts on other members’ profiles.

Currently, everything gets lost in our contribution feeds, making it difficult to keep track of conversations.

As an additional feature, it would be great if G2G posts on profiles could also be added to this new feed.

To make clear I am not asking for a feed of all profiles, but for a separate feed of the coments posted on profiles I manage as well as comments on profiles I do not manage but posted to as well as the replies to these comments. These replies we do not get at the moment in any feed as far as I can tell, it's only on e-mail.
I would love to see some 'smarter' filtering on tags. My mother's LNAB at birth is 'Earl', I would love to see tags that cover "Earl" the name, and "Earl" the title.

It is not clear what you are asking for to be honest.   I cannot even imagine a feed that included the thousands of profiles that I am connected to....

Using tags is the way I keep track of changes to family names that I am interested in.   https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Tags

A messages feed like this

Comments

[top]Leave a message for others who see this profile

In the feeds it looks like this

13:42:(person) posted a comment on the page for (profile)

If you use tags, or if you are on a trusted list for a profile, you get those comments in your feed.

John Doe replied to a comment on the page for Jane Doe

Here is the help page on the current feeds.

I see the need for a comments feed.  I've had to go through pages and pages of changes to try and look for just the comments.  I think in the same way that we can see "profile creation only", a "comments only" option might be useful. The email notifications can get lost.  Anyway, I would use something like this.
Not only that it is difficult to find comments amongst thousands of contributions, the comments are spread over two feeds for profiles you manage and the the profiles you don't manage which shows in the all contributions feed. The problem with last feed is that you don't see replies to your comments because it only lists your own contributions.
Robin, the surname tags don't work when you are posting to profiles with surnames you don't follow. By the way, you only get 20 tags and with all the project and WT tags, you are lucky if you get to follow six surname tags.(for which the tags were initially intended)

ps thanks for the retags

If at all possible it will make a huge difference with collaboration in the SA projects with 231 members almost all related to each other

I also agree that the 20 tag limit is too low for everything that I want, and need, to follow.
I know comment feeds are possible for posting to Discord. I've got one for the Native Americans project. I think PGM has one, too, but this may be something that is only possible for project accounts?
Hi Jillian, that sounds like a filter on the feed of the profiles managed by the project.
