This is an overdue recognition from me: Kie Zelms is a wonderful WikiTreer!
Kie is wonderful for her knowledge of genealogy relating to Palatine migrants, German immigrants to America, and early Pennsylvania, and she is insightful and resourceful in seeking solutions to genealogical questions. On top of that she has a wonderful way with people -- putting members at ease while she explains things about WikiTree and genealogical topics, or helps them correct their errors. All the better, she freely shares her knowledge and her talents with the rest of the WikiTree community.
And best of all, she has recently stepped up to become a full-fledged WikiTree Project Leader -- and is now one of the Leaders for the Palatine Migration Project. When we started that Project and I volunteered to be its Leader, I knew it that I had Palatine migrant ancestors, that it was an important and interesting topic, and that I remembered enough German to be reasonably useful in reading sources, but I knew very little about the topic. I've learned a good bit, but I think that Kie knows more than I ever will, so I feel very lucky -- and WikiTree is lucky -- to have her in the Project Leader role alongside Dave Rutherford.
Hurray for Kie! And I thank you!
PS - I'm not abandoning Palatine Migration, but I have happily handed my Leader spot over to Kie.
