The marriage certificate I found looks to have been abbreviated Lou Jones (but I'm only assuming this because Charles is abbreviated as Chas) Possibly for Louise? The 1900 Census record for Dyer County, Tennessee lists her name as Lula, which could also be a nickname. Struggling to find birth or death record, but birth is listed on marriage record as 1882 and death must have occurred sometime between 1901 and 1908, between the birth of Josie Montgomery, and Charles Montgomery's remarriage. Family recollection is that she died in child birth. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
