problem with image

I uploaded an image of the 1939 England and Wales register as a source. It has been noted as having a problem, which I think is that people still living might be on the page.

I blanked out all entries except that for the relevant household, knowing they are all deceased.

When I uploaded the renamed image, it appears  on the profile page as a new image but with the same image number and still with the same message. I have orphaned it but so far I'm still unable to have an uploaded image accepted.

Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Jean, can you perhaps give us a bit more explanation about what the problem is.  When I try to track through your recent activity, I see what I think is the image you're interested in on the profile of Kitty Wallis Blane (Wallis-5002).  It is Image 5002-7.jpg and is Number 15 of 15 images, uploaded 19 May, and is shown as a Public image on an Open profile.  It appears to be a full page of data, although some of the lines are blacked out and marked "This record is officially closed."  I'm not sure what your reference "has been noted as having a problem" is referring to.

Then you apparently uploaded the modified version, which is numbered Image 5002-8.jpg.  That one shows up in your activity log, but not on the Kitty Wallis Blane profile.  And it's marked Private, so we can't see anything but the thumbnail and can't read any of the data on it.  And I'm not sure what you mean when you say you orphaned it (unless you removed all the people and things in the image so it would get deleted, but that doesn't sound like what you wanted to do).

So anyway, I'm confused about exactly what the problem is with the first image and what you're trying to do.  I'm sure somebody will be able to figure all this out, given a little more detail.
I am very sorry, Dennis. It seems my head had totally gone.  I mis-read and mis-interpreted! I think I have things straight now.

I couldn't see 5202-7 when I scrolled through my images, even though I could see the other source ones.

At the time I removed names from the modified version, thinking to try again after it had disappeared. However, today  I found 5202-7 when I clicked to view only source images.

My sincere apologies for creating confusion.
No problem, no need to apologize.  Things like that happen when you're dealing with fairly complex topics and temperamental computers.  Glad you got it figured out.
