Wikitree Sourcer and Autobio - won't list full household in narrative

I am using Wikitree sourcer on this FamilySearch Profile:
George R. Thrush in household of John H. Thrush, "United States Census, 1880" • FamilySearch

I copy the Source Citation option:
"1880 Census: "United States Census, 1880" citing enumeration district , sheet , NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), FHL microfilm .

FamilySearch Record: MNCK-LBQ (accessed 14 May 2023)
FamilySearch Image: 33SQ-GYBF-LD2 Image number 00181
George R Thrush (1), single son, At Home, in household of John H. Thrush (25) in Camas Valley, Douglas, Oregon, United States. Born in Oregon, United States.
The household included John H. Thrush 25, wife Alice R. Thrush 18, son George R. Thrush 1."

I then paste it into his Wikitree profile. However, when I choose Autobio, it doesn't mention his mother. It creates this:
"In 1880, George R (1), was a single son, At Home, in the household of his father, John. Thrush (25) in Camas Valley, Douglas, Oregon, United States."

I have played with settings in both extensions, but not sure what exactly I need to tweak to get it to mention the entire household - instead of just the head and the subject.

Any help greatly appreciated.

AutoBio is wonderful, but I always have to edit it to fit each household. I don't think the AutoBio should be set by the developers to always assume that the wife of the head of household is the mother. Sometimes the wife of the head of household is a step-mother. Some of the narrative will always have to be created by us based on our own analysis of the record and that record in context with other records--it just can't always be done automatically to fit every situation.
I don't necessarily want it to assume that she is the mother. I would just like it to list everyone in the household. It was doing it, but I switched browsers and forgot to back up my settings and cannot figure out what I did.
I looked at the options for AutoBio and didn't see what you are describing.  I use AutoBio all the time, but have never seen it create a full list of everyone on the census records I have in my sources. Perhaps Ian or one of the other developers working on the extension will respond.

Could you possibly have been using WikiTree BEE or WikiTree Sourcer instead to create tables or citations with narratives from the census records?
I'm using both wikitree sourcer and the autobio (from the Wikitree Browser Extension). It was listing everyone in the household. It was a setting between the two that made it do it

I think it's because there aren't any profiles created for the mother and the child, so there's nothing for AutoBio to link to.  Hence it doesn't even mention them.  If you created the spouse and child, AutoBio would include them.

This IS the profile for the child - and the profile for the mother and the father are there.

Thank you. I'll look into it.

It sounds like you are reporting an issue with AutoBio and not saying there is any issue with what Sourcer generates. Is that correct?

Personally I prefer to use inline citations so I use the Sourcer "Build Narrative with Citation". That way there would not be any need to run autobio to generate a narrative for the fact.

There are many options in Sourcer for what the narrative sentence for that record would be, here are a few possibilities:

  • In the 1880 census George (age 1), At Home, was the son of John H. Thrush in Camas Valley, Douglas, Oregon, United States.
  • In the 1880 census George (age 1), At Home, was with his parents in Camas Valley, Douglas, Oregon, United States.
  • On 1 June 1880, George R Thrush, At Home, was enumerated in Camas Valley, Douglas, Oregon, United States. He was with his parents. He was 1 years old.
I generally use the household table option to list the full details of the household in table form. There are also list and sentence formats supported.
Do you have a request for something different to be generated by Sourcer?

I'm not sure which one was doing it, honestly. I use the source citations when creating the profile. Then, I use auto bio to generate the biography until I have time to come back and finish it up. So, it's a combination of both. But even when I use the tables it will mention everyone in the household in the biography. So, auto bio is not picking up every household member mentioned in the census - even if it's part of the data.

I prefer inline sourcing as well when I am actively working on a profile and not just creating children/spouse/parents of the current profile.

What selection did you use to get the second option?

  • In the 1880 census George (age 1), At Home, was with his parents in Camas Valley, Douglas, Oregon, United States.
