Email from LivingDNA with YDNA results update based on new ISOGG Y-DNA tree

Today I received an email from LivingDNA indicating my YDNA haplogroup should be more precise. The new group is either R-S380 or R-M405. The first is from the detailed page, the second is from the profile dashboard page. Previously, it was R-U106.

Should I make a change on my WikiTree profile? Do I need to making any changes on MitoYDNA?

According to

https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-U106/

R-M405 is currently equalivent to R-U106.

and according to https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Z330/ , (R-Z330) is a more recent haplogroup and R-S380 is currently equivalent to R-Z330.

I would use R-Z330 in mitoYDNA (because that haplogroup is recognized by Family Tree DNA and so it shows up in SNP Tracker http://scaledinnovation.com/gg/snpTracker.html?snp=Z330

and WikiTree and give an explanation in the note field for mitoYDNA and the note field for your Y-DNA information in WikiTree.

Hello Marty,

I now realize you are using R-Z326 in mitoYDNA (and R-Z236 in WikiTree -- Is Z236 a typo?)

Z326 is an immediate descendant of Z330.  See

http://scaledinnovation.com/gg/treeExplorer.html?snp=R-Z326

so if Z236 is a typo then just change your Y haplogroup in WikiTree from R-Z236 to R-Z326.
