I agree that there should be a merge of these two profiles, using Van Tassel-2 as the "correct" profile, since he has the lowest internal entry number and a correct LNAB

These two profiles are in the NNS process of merge compare.

Numerous siblings have several spelling variations and need to be resolved through the NNS merge system first.

Steven has the answer to that (specific procedure applicable to this project - can't remember if he said match or mail correspondence) ... I'd check with him ....

Considering the number of different spellings among his siblings, there's an obvious issue as to whether Van Tassel should be the final LNAB.  If not, one of the profiles should have its LNAB changed before the merge.

You should only merge into the Final ID.

There is a DO NOT MERGE message on this profile which means that one needs to contact the Project leader that is protecting this profile, and it's LNAB ( last name at birth).
