Removed Williams-124478 as ancestor of Billy Dee Williams

Question

I'm sorry, but it looks like Billy Dee Williams had a bad connection.

James Preston Williams [[Williams-109214]] is not likely to be a child of Elizabeth Jane (Harless) Williams [[Williams-124478]]; Harless is her correct LNAB. James Preston Williams was born in Cumberland County, North Carolina.

Elizabeth Jane Harless married Jackson Williams 21 Sep 1847 in Giles County, Virginia,

In the 1850 Census for Giles County, Jackson and Jane Williams had one child, James H. Williams, born ca 1849 in Virginia. In the 1860 Census for Giles County, Jackson and Jane had children James age 11, Ann age 9, John age 7, Margaret age 5, Mary age 4, Amanda age 2 and Aaron, infant.

According to these records, Jackson and Jane Williams were married in Giles County, Virginia and their children were born there between 1848 and 1860. They did not reside in North Carolina nor did they have children born there.

I have detached James Preston Williams as a child of Elizabeth Jane (Harless) Williams. I have been looking for records of James Preston Williams from before 1880, when he is found in San Jacinto County, Texas with a brother, Ed W Williams, also born in North Carolina.

That might explain why the bottom of my profile page says that I am 25 degrees from Billy, but clicking on the link now reports "No Connection Found ... Yet".  I'm guessing that he is no longer connected to the global tree and that the confusion arises from some things being updated on an hourly basis and others on a daily basis.
