How to untangle a family?

I decided to jo looking for Great Grandparents of David Lloyd George and someone had pointed out a possible error with Rebecca Samuel so decide to look at one of her children namely Richard Lloyd that's when the problems started -

1 Susan Maria Lloyd was born in Ohio Parents Richard and ANN she has siblings

2. Isabella Henwetton? Lloyd and Rebecca Lloyd well the most likely candidate for Isabella is Isabella Adeliza Henrietta Lloyd, she was born at the same place as the profile states and her Mother is Georgianna but Georgianna was a Lloyd prior to marriage AND her married name her maiden name was Georgianna Rebecca Margaret Louisa Lloyd she did indeed marry a Richard Lloyd but again not the one connected she was listed as a widow in 1881.

I have no idea where to start! The proflies have managers more than one, so not sure if the errors have occured due to merges .

UPDATE I have split the three families four if you count the Richard who never married. Looking at the Paternal Line of David Lloyd George it looks like similar occurences have happened. IF the 'Grandmother' as remarried Benjamin Williams then the children would be Williams NOT George like the one's attached.

I have attached a marriage to David Lloyd that would indicate that he has the incorrect spouse and that Rebecca Samuel should be detached. I will highlight this to the Wales Project so we can correct the errors in this family.

Thanks Hilary just been researching the three different families attached to Richard (brother of Elizabeth George nee Lloyd) Uncle to David Lloyd George. He never married, the other three Richard Lloyds did.  I'll take a look, wasnt too sure about the other siblings attached too, maybe they belong to the other 'Mother'
I’ve added Wales as a tag to your original question to bring it to the attention of the Wales Project.

Best regards, Maddy

Thanks hadn't thought of that, due to working from the notable quest for Great Grandparents (David Lloyd George) not totally convinced on the Paternal Line too.  I was working on that last night before I fell asleep . William George in the 1861 Census states born Jordanston, Pembrokeshire occupation British School Teacher trying to locate in early Census Returns.

Oh dear just found this Mary Davis - married names George and Williams

This has nothing to do with your questions. Just thought you might like a bit of genealogy trivia.

My grandfather admired former Prime Minister David Lloyd George so much he named his eldest son after him, Lloyd George Diehl [[Diehl-2069]].

I got sidetracked yesterday looking at the correspondence of his Brother William George - who it is said helped fund David Lloyd George in the ability to stay in London, there's quite a bit about their beloved Uncle Robert Lloyd who devoted his life (my opinion) after their Father William died. Robert Lloyd never married. He was a Pastor and Shoemaker and when William became a solicitor he helped in the firm too. The paper's only have extracts on line and there's still over 400 pages on PDF.
