Why isn't GEDCOMpare finding some matches previously entered?

I previously entered quite a number of profiles, some thru GEDCOMpare.  Now, I'm trying with another group and many of them are coming up as "no match" to those already on WikiTree.

When I checked, I found two management statements.  Some say "managed by you" while others say "managed by Suellen Walker."  It appears I am now two different people.  I tried logging out and back in, but both of me still exist.  The URL on both are the same.

Then I deleted the GED file and reloaded it.  There's still two of me.  I don't want to go thru each and every possible "ADD" from the GEDCOM but don't know how to get around this baffling situation.  There are names in this file that I would like to add without typing or copy/pasting each into WikiTree.  The file has almost 600 names in it but most have already been entered.

Can't address your specific issue, but matching has been a problem for some time. Doesn't matter how careful you are, you may created a duplicate. You just have to merge them after if it happens.

I understand the the admin team is working on improvements and we should see improvements soon.

I understand the accidental duplication of a profile.  I've had to fix that several times ... like when I discovered a man had two wives with the same name.  Oops!  But this is a duplication of ME, I guess you'd say.  One recognized by my name & one by "you."  It's not something I can fix, so far as I've determined, since both have the same URL when clicked on.

Example from GEDCOMpare:  husb of couple says  "SEARCH / COMPARE WITH" and when I click on SEARCH, it brings up list of names & says "managed by Suellen Walker" after the right person.  Wife says "matched: Loiacono-145image COMPARE "  When I cliick on matched link or compare, it says "managed by you,"  Husb & wfe were entered at the same time.

This didn't happen w/ the GED file I used before.  I'm new, kind of, but thought I had it figured out before starting another transfer.  Now I'm not so sure.

It appears some programming changes were made between the previous GED & this one, so wondered if it was caused by that.
