15 Nations Global Tour: Haiti Wrap-up

We now say good-bye to Haiti as we wrap-up yet another great adventure. Over the past three weeks we've met presidents, dictators and a king, a poet and a pop-star. We met Haiti's first female doctor and the world's first Black Olympic gold medal winner. We also met the only Black family on the Titanic, and a political mistress who is said to have been Haiti's most powerful woman ever.

Along the way we connected eight notable Haitians to the Global Tree, and created 220+ new Haitian profiles. After five nations, this brings the tour's grand totals to 22 connected notables (about a 36% success rate) and more than 1300 new profiles for the nations of Haiti, Kenya, Ukraine, Argentina, and India.

It's been a fascinating journey so far, and we still have ten more nations to go. If you are interest in joining us on our next stop, just drop us a note here, or head over to the 15 Nations Global Tour Project Page. We have room for members of all skill levels, including connectors, sourcerers, biobuilders, proofreaders, and more.

Look for my next post to find out where we are headed next.
