Problem with Alt - deletes draft and all data.

I am not sure if this is something to do with the WikiTree code or with BEE or WikiTree Browser Extension or WikiTree Sourcer but I can say this has only just started happening.

To get the accent on the e of née in Windows I have to use Alt+0233. I hold down Alt and press 0 and ALL the text in the profile is deleted immediately and there are lots of yellow explanation boxes beside the fields. The draft is blank and I have to exit without saving or everything would be lost - in fact you can't because there is no information.

I have tried in another browser with no extensions and I can confirm that EXACTLY the same behaviour is exhibited so this would appear to be a newly introduced problem in the WikiTree code.

Windows 11 Pro
Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621

Browsers tried: Opera Version:97.0.4719.63
Microsoft Edge: Version 112.0.1722.39 (Official build) (64-bit)
I just tried this - Opera browser, no WBE, no BEE, just Sourcer - and Alt+0233 generated é without a problem.

Edited to add - new Windows 11 device.
Did you have a windows 11 upgrade yesterday? I did. I just tried in Vivaldi and exactly the same so it may be a Windows problem. If you get an update in the next couple of days see if it is still good.

ETA: Just rebooted and the problem is exactly the same. Desktop PC by the way.
Just tried it in a text editor and a word processor. Only does this in WikiTree.
No, my upgrade is pending - because I currently have too many tabs open on Opera, and it doesn't auto-reload those after shutdown the way Edge does.
(I have the little restart reminder on my taskbar.)
You need to change your Opera settings. Mine reopens with everything after a shutdown.

Make yourself a text file with special characters, then you can use copy and paste to achieve the same thing.

Yes I can do that of course but the point is it never used to happen and anyway the combination Alt+0 is now dangerous as it wipes out all information including any draft you may have been working on.

I can't reproduce this behavior, and I don't think we do anything special with key presses (unless there is something in the old underlying Mediawiki code).

If anyone else is having the same problem, please post what operating system version and browser you are using.
