Solomon Trites of New Brunswick - what happened to his wife?

If anyone ever sees anything about Solomon's first wife, the mother of his son Solomon Melvin Trites born 1814, PLEASE drop a note here. The only thing we might know about her is she might be a Horsman.

It just seems so unbelievable that a woman from this time could be so completely lost to history.  Her husband was an active community member, a founder of the Free Meeting House  which is now a National Historic Site.  How did she vanish without a trace?

Was her maiden name Melvin?  Is that where her son's middle name comes from?  Did the Horsman progenitors have a Melvin granddaughter?

Please share all possible and even improbable scenarios -- I've been looking for this lady for half a century!  DNA doesn't help because nearly everyone in that time and place was third cousins with each other by then, and most of my DNA matches in that 'bucket' are related to me through about 6 different pathways on average...

All ideas welcomed, even outlandish ones!

I haven't seen anything but the only place she could be buried is the Free Meeting House. Maybe they have records not reflected in the cemetery.

I don't  share your disbelief about lost women in Moncton.  I have a few dead ends around that time period.

Melvin is not an early Moncton name. They arrived after the period you need.

Records in New Brunswick were spotty in that time period. There may have been a wooden grave marker that didn't get replaced. Have you searched the unindexed records for Moncton and Westmoreland County? FamilySearch has some that are just digital film that you have to read to find anything since they haven't been indexed. (see the FS Card Catalog). Deaths weren't always recorded although newspapers might mention them.  At least that was the case a bit further north.
