How often are DNA Connections updated?

Question

Are the DNA Connections normally updated once a week, or are they updated at the same rate as other connections?

I added some profiles five days ago that are close enough relatives that my DNA test information should show on them, but as of today it's still not showing. I'm trying to figure out whether I just missed the update window, or whether I need to adjust the privacy of one intermediate profile that's currently red privacy, or whether this is a lingering effect of the WikiTree+ server issue.

Two days after changing the red privacy, the test still isn't propagating, and I've realized that the test of another relative who's been "private with public tree and bio" all along hasn't propagated either. I'm adding the bugs tag because I can't find anything else that'd be causing this.

Can you provide a link to a profile that should be displaying your DNA test information but isn't?

Sharon, Thomas Casteel, Casteel-174, is marked as non-biological. That will stop WikiTree from propagating DNA information to that profile and any farther.

Thanks Sharon. Looking at the relationship finder (https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:Relationship&action=calculate&person1Name=Unknown-640532&person2Name=Casteel-170) it appears that one of the relationships has been set to "non-biological" - that will stop the DNA test information from propagating through that relationship.

(And that's good to know that when you replace a parent, the status remains whatever was set initially rather than clearing.)

The DNA Test Connections help page says that it's every 24 hours, so that shouldn't be the issue.

It could be the privacy thing. I'm a bit fuzzy on how that works and couldn't find an example in my own DNA matches to check.

Thanks -- going from that page to the Help:How_to_Get_Started_with_DNA page, the privacy setting on the intervening profile seems to be the issue.
