Did Anderson include an entry for John Crossman of Rhode Island in the Directory? If not, should Crossman be PGM?

Did Robert Charles Anderson include any entry for John Crossman in the Directory? If there is/are an entry/entries, do we believe Anderson thought our John Crossman of Rhode Island then immigrated?

If not, is there any reason we believe this John Crossman did immigrated early enough to be included in WikiTree's Puritan Great Migration project?

He is identified on the profile as " John Crossman, mariner, who appeared in the records of Providence, Rhode Island starting in 1657 and died in Newport, supposedly aged 100 years, in 1688."

Thank you for any assistance you are able to provide.--Gene

It appears the PPP was added a decade ago due to concerns about the LNAB being altered. There is nothing presently on the profile to suggest he is part of the PGM or in the colonies prior to 1641 and so Rhode Island Project suggests the project box and PPP be removed. They can always be returned should evidence of earlier arrival in the colonies come to light. ~ T Stanton (Leader, Rhode Island)

Edit: a general look around at American Ancestors produces nothing other than what is currently found on the profile.

Thanks Todd - I agree and have removed PPP and PGM as a co-manager.

Now at a later hour when I am actually awake (smiley) and reading more of the trial transcript, I would agree that the John Crossman who was run out of Boston was a Quaker and that the blasphemy charge was about as valid as 99% of those charges under Endicott and that the John Crossman in Rhode Island is the man from Boston. He would be one of many with similar stories. I'll put the profile on the list for Quakers Project review and check some Quaker sources for additional information.

Excellent work, Todd. TYTYT. --Gene
