Hi Wikitreers,

I have in my collection and family album a vintage CDV from antique seller. This unique vintage photo in great condition is of a beautiful lady named Caroline Hamilton dated 1866. I need collaboration in her genealogy to get her connected. What other clues can be gleaned from this wonderful historical artifact. What is known about the history of the place she had her photo taken? The “LONDON SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY” at 174 Regent Street. Who was Caroline Hamilton? Maybe you have the Hamilton surname in your genealogy?

Thank you

It looks like it was at 174 Regent Street from 1876 to 1893:

It would be interesting strolling London in 1866 and getting a photo taken in that day must of been something. Thanks for the links yes

It doesn't look like she has a wedding ring, but worth checking that out with a magnifying glass. The brooch at her neckline might also have some significance.

It’s a small photo but maybe with a magnifier can see better
