Scottish naming

Question

I'm working on the three people between the Bruce, Bruce-129, and the Black Knigh of Lorn, Stewart-4030. The profiles are essentially the correct people. But what to name them? Richardson, who is liked by the Magna Carta project, likes Lorn for the Balck Knight's mother and paternal grandfather. Others use de Ergadia.

For the Black Knight's mother somehow Wikitree has settled on MacDougall for last name at birth, which is bizarre and perhaps the result of the her beng shown as having a MacDougall mother in law.

The name of her mother is called Joanna (Isaac) while other (Richardson) use Janet.

An then there is the name of Joanna's mother, Maud or Matilda, daughter of the Bruce.

Should I change the MacDougall name to (what!) and just pick (using whose convention) the first names of the other two and put the others as alternates?

Quick answer before I study this in depth.  I thought some of this had been thrashed out before.   de Ergadia is a place and should not be used as a  surname.  MacDougall was agreed as the proper name. See profile for Joanna/Janet Isaac.   This is the same person.

I'm hoping some of our Scottish Clans project experts in this line will chip in.

I suppose MacDougall would be OK if the name were changed to that,

or at least an aliasof that added to, the line of her father.
