Help with Peter Wilhelm Pfeiffer (1837 Germany/ 1871 London/ 1891 Australia)

Hello,

can anybody help with the research of Peter Wilhelm Pfeiffer?

Please check his profile for more info.

I would like to know more about the family he had in London.

Further, I found hints on ancestry about a 2nd marriage to Ada Sophie Tindall, New South Wales, Australia and his death in 1905.

But I do not have the access, and I do not have the experience for research in London or Australia.

Can we be sure that it is the right person? Was there a reference to the earlier marriage? Or names of the parents or a birth date and place?

The marriage record is ust an index so no further info there. But I have found Peter's asylum record from just before he died. It gives birthplace as Asmannshausen Germany, with 25 years in Commonwealth and 25 in NSW. Married to Ada Tindall, parents Joseph and Catherine.

thanks you for sharing the link, that is the right person for sure!

That means he has left Hessen about 1855.
He was in convicted 1856 and the had to leave the country after 1 year of prison time - but the 25 years is probably just an estimation.

And he came to NSW about 1880.
