looking for Clinton d Savage b 1849, ohio or PA

My great grandfather is clinton delmore savage born 1849 in ohio or pa.  He married estelle munson 10/1876 ( b 1849).  Lived in Topeka, ks with 4 children.  death unknown but estimated at 1900. Last info published was the 1880 census where he was listed as a locomotive engineer in topeka.  estimated death around 1900

A slightly later source - the 1885 Census of Kansas lists the following family in Topeka, Kansas on March 1, 1885:

C.D. Savage - born in Ohio - married - male - age 35 - white

Stella Savage - born in Pennsylvania - married - female - age 35 - white

Frankie B. Savage - born in Pennsylvania - female - age 7 - white

Chas. Savage - born in Pennsylvania - female - age 6 - white

H.L. Munson - born in New York - widowed - female - age 73 - white

He also appears as Clinton D. Savage, 135 East 10th Avenue West, carpenter in the 1883 Topeka City Directory:

Thank you Roger.  I have this information in my files.  What I don't have is what happened to him after the 1887 article.

Stella moved to MI to live with and is buried there.  It is like he disappeared.  In retrospect, I should have been more specific...  People have found a CSavage in Washington but the dates don't match up.
