We built our home in Louisa County Virginia in 2020/21. During construction I found what appeared to be an old privy (green slimy soil), old cut nails and other metal artifacts and early/mid 1800 pottery shards. I also found (in an excavated pile of soil) a grave foot stone with the initials “A.P.W.” on it but no date, original location unknown. Upon further research I have found two unmarked graves beside our driveway and remnants (old handmade bricks) of a structure, possible a home, on the property next door. Based on mid-1800 maps, I believe we are on the Waddy homestead and would like to know who the “A.P.W.” foot stone belongs to.

Any information or inquiries would be welcome.

I couldn't find any info on A.P. but I found a couple of families in Louisa County, Virginia headed by:

1) Garland S. Waddy 1850 Census

2) William Waddy 1850 Census

I hope this helps with your search B.
