SCOTLAND: Looking for family of a George Wright b. ~1800, m. Mary Swan ~ 1820. Sons John Grant Wright, Rev, Dr. 1821-1880., minister in Southampton 1860-80. Sons William, George Nelson, James and dau. Mary Ann emigrated to Canada 1845 from Glasgow. Mary Swan Wright d. 1843. He remarried an Elizabeth, also b. 1800. They are found in each Canadian Census from 1851-81. Children reportedly born in Perthshire. Family diary source of much of these places (Geo. Nelson Wright’s diary is in the LAC in Ottawa). Geo. W. Was a Gardener and last served at Garth House in Glen Lyon, lived in Fortingal prior to emigration.
