As I am working through the complex will of Major Anthony Botet (for which collaborative research went to numerous members and connections of the Raymond family emerging in part from my ancestor Dr. Anthony Raymond, DD (the first Protestant to back the Celtic language which he used in communication with his first parishioners in Trim) as well as the considerable documentation on the Gibson-Graham family in Drogheda...
It is quite a challenge given the number of ministers in the family, a rather migratory profession that gives rise to births all over (something I repeat in Dublin, Nigeria, and Canada for three generations)
I appreciated his pickup of the birth of my ancestor Elizabeth Raymond from the diary of Jonathan Swift that she was born in England for if a pregnant mother happens to be travelling somewhere the children could be born anwhere.
It gives rise to the mantra that I have always used - NEVER descope prematurely - for any of my father's family.
Thanks again John
