Feedback on BMS2000 Online Quebec Genealogical Research Site

I've found an online site, BMS2000, http://www.bms2000.org/en. The site touts itself as "THE reference in genealogical research all around Quebec and neighbouring provinces and states." Groupe BMS2000 is a cooperative project for establishing a common database with the BMS records — births, marriages and deaths (burials or sepultures) —  of 24 genealogical societies of Quebec province.  16,6 millions BMS records have been collected.

I've tried the free search on some known relatives, but haven't gotten any results. I tried to register, but didn't receive the validation email.

Let me know if you have used this site/service, and your opinion of it.

Thank you

Hello Brian,

I've come across them as references before, never been there to get membership, although I am a member of one of the associations that are part of it.  Really don't know how their database and inscription process work, or how accurate it is.

Everybody who is anybody in this sort of endeavour will say they are the best, remains to be seen by actual comparison.  wink
