Does Y-DNA take time to propagate after posted?

Hi,

I had my uncle add his Y-DNA, and for some reason it has only propagated a few generations up his direct male line. Is this normal?

Here is the last ancestor it propagates to:

Thanks for any help!

Oh, good. That's where it's supposed to be. So it must have some process that it does over time to propagate or some process it has to run. I would like to know the details if anyone can answer me (as I'm an IT guy, and I'd still like to know).

But thank you!

Hi Greg,

Per the DNA Test Connections Help Page, the DNA test information propagation process usually occurs within 24 hours of posting the DNA test info and/or changing associated relationships, so the DNA test connections should appear on the appropriate related profiles based on test type then.
