1st. Lt. Thomas Corbin Davenport (1850 - 1887) served in the 9th United States Cavalry on the frontier. He died young but appears he has an interesting story and needs connecting. 

Any collaboration in getting this veteran connected is appreciated.

The profile of Thomas Davenport is now connected through his brother Richard's wife Serena who was added to pre existing profiles for her parents. His brother Richard served in the United States Navy eventually becoming a Rear Admiral so has a interesting story too.

Here is some additional information:

He was appointed to West Point from the District of Columbia, entering on July 1, 1867, and was named a Second Lieutenant in the 9th Cavalry on June 2, 1872, was promoted to First Lieutenant on June 28, 1878, and transferred to the 4th Artillery on February 8, 1886.
