What to do with abandoned profile from 2009 with only a name?

I just came across a profile that has only the name. It appears that the PM jumped in for a minute and faded away, in 2009.

What are we supposed to do with such a profile. It takes up room and does not add to the tree at all.

It is also the one and only profile with that surname.

Question two-in the section in the question window that offers other potential questions that could match or solve the issue,  ALL the suggestions are in French and refer to specific people.  Why? Makes no sense as there is no name mentioned in my question and my ʻone sentenceʻ has only English words.

Hi Kristina. I won't try to address your first question sorry, but the second one was so bizarre that I tried it myself. It happened again. This time, not surprisingly, your question with the same title shows up first, but the other suggestions are indeed all fully or partly in French. There don't seem to be any particular repeated words. Here is a screenshot to confirm.

Maybe this will help to track down what's happening.

Edited to add: It didn't seem to make a difference that you categorised as The Treehouse but I used Genealogy Help.

Also, I now notice that à (French for "to") appears in each suggestion. Your title has the word "a" in it, but with no accent.

If I leave "a" out and make the title "What to do with abandoned profile from 2009 with only name?", the suggestions are quite different and all in English. Two of them contain the word "abandoned", but two more don't seem relevant at all.

Maybe add the tag  bugs  .

Added the tag! It really is strange, I hope someone can figure it out.

Thanks for confirming that I am not nuts!

It looks like this may be a known bug when you include "a" in the question - see Jamie's comment at https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1365515/why-do-i-get-answers-in-a-different-language?show=1365607#c1365607. Odd that their suggestions were mostly in Norwegian but yours were mostly in French, but then again it just seems like an odd bug anyway.

Kristina, the root of the problem is what to do with the profile.  It could be a candidate for deletion - which is rare on WikiTree, but does happen. What is the profile ID? Does the profile have a PM?

This is the profile   https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Fukunaga-1, it really does appear to be abandoned long ago.

That's a Member profile, not a deceased ancestor.
I did not indicate it was a deceased ancestor. It is a member profile for some one who dropped in during 2009 and apparently never did anything else here.

I believe WikiTree is going through some behind the scenes technical updates at the moment. I cant say with any certainty, but it may be an unintended glitch related to that. I'd add a tech tag to your post as well to see if you can attract their attention.

Hi David. This is a glitch in G2G, not WikiTree :-) Also, there is no tech tag: it was removed a while back. Instead Kristina might like to recategorise the question from The Tree House to WikiTree Tech, but the primary question is right for The Tree House or Genealogy Help. The "bugs" tag could be enough.
