George Leslie (Goebel) Gobel I am relatively certain he had a twin brother that went by the name of "Bud" who ran a service station in Raytown, Mo. That's right , the fictitious town of "Momma's Family" with the Thriftway Store that was also real. I was thinking of notables, or family of, I may have met. As a kid, grandpa had me convinced that he knew the guy on TV. where in reality it was his brother Bud. It seemed plausible since he also knew notable Harold Ensley, "The Sportsman's Friend" one of the first and longest running sports show of its kind. George is unconnected with limited sources. A true American success story. A second generation American war veteran/celebrity. Harold Ensley- no profile. Bud, unknown connection b/t the two. Vicki Lawrence of Carol Burnett and Momma's Family probably fits in some-how some-way. For those who love the Wiki Life!
